Our unique Escape: El Tuito Hacienda & Horseback tour offers a unique glimpse into an authentic Mexican lifestyle, rich with cultural heritage, and the company of its warm, friendly people. A chauffeured shuttle provides your transportation as you drive along the picturesque Bay of Banderas, you will partake in some of the most colorful scenery in Jalisco. You will have plenty of time to take photos of the breathtaking, endless beaches on the south side of Puerto Vallarta, and of the ecological bird and marine reserve, Los Arcos Marine Sanctuary. From there, you’ll venture into the inspiring, natural surroundings of the Sierra Madre Mountains along the Palms to Pines Highway, passing the beautiful Vallarta Botanical Gardens.
We arrive at the hidden traditional pueblo of El Tuito, known for the unusual uniformity of its buildings, and painted with a mixture of local clay that gives the walls a unique orange color. The name El Tuito is derived from the ancient Náhuatl language spoken by the Aztecs and means, “Little Beautiful Valley.” Here you can explore the main plaza, where many of the original homes have been restored and converted into museums, and the Cultural Center, where local artists have open studios.
We continue through this “Little Beautiful Valley” to a local hacienda (ranch) where you enjoy a light breakfast of locally grown fruits, homemade breads, yogurt and granola. A visit to El Tuito would not be complete without tasting the Panela fresh cheese, and the local Tequila-like alcohol Raicilla, so it's off to learn the process of making both cheese and Raicilla at their hacienda! After this learning experience you be escorted by the hacienda staff to amazing ancient petroglyphs (painted rocks) created by the indigenous people 2,500 years B.C. ago along the riverbed, followed by a 45 minute horseback ride through the forest and ranch land. Now that you have worked up an appetite, guests enjoy a full Mexican Grill Platter lunch and non-stop raicilla margaritas at the hacienda before returning back to Puerto Vallarta. This tour is an amazing archaeological and cultural experience through the heart of western Mexican culture that is seldom explored by tourists.

This exciting private San Sebastian ATV Adventure guided tour departs from Puerto Vallarta's Hotel Zone via ATV (All Terrain Vehicles or 4x4), and offers a unique glimpse into a lost Mexican lifestyle, rich with cultural heritage, and insight into the skills of century old artisans. We offer ATVs for a single rider, two passengers, and discounts when renting 2 or more single rider ATVs. San Sebastian's remote setting has made it one of Mexico's last remaining secrets, hidden high in the heart of the Sierra Madre Mountains. This tiny mountain pueblo is just about a two hour drive from Puerto Vallarta but feels like a world away. Riding along the paved mountain roadway you see scenes of everyday rural life, along with some of the most breathtaking views the state of Jalisco has to offer!
First settled in 1605, the once remote 17th century mining town of San Sebastian reached its peak of prosperity in the 1700s with over 30,000 inhabitants in the area. The pueblo's population fluctuated wildly as gold and silver were mined intermittently between the 1600's and the 1930's, and currently has only 600 residents maintaining this pueblo’s true colonial heritage. San Sebastian is now cultivating coffee and agave in its lush mountainsides, while maintaining its charming cobblestone plaza, elegant snow-white buildings, classic Porfirian bandstand, 18th century church, and historic haciendas, recently earning this community the title of Pueblo Magico from the federal government. You will be encouraged to experience what San Sebastian has to offer, from the local San Sebastian Museum, to a working silversmith, and even a local coffee roaster. After your adventures enjoy lunch at one of San Sebastian’s highest rated restaurants. So take a day away from the “big city” of Puerto Vallarta and enjoy a privileged glimpse into colonial Mexico few ever experience!
PLEASE NOTE: For the safely of our guests… our company, ATV operators, and guides do not allow the consumption of alcohol during the ATV tours or with lunch. Should a guest insist on drinking alcohol on our ATV tours they will not be allowed back on the ATV vehicles, and will be required to pay their own transportation expenses (taxi or car service) back to the originating destination.

Our tours are hands-on adventures unlike any other.
As our guest, you’ll experience all dimensions of the tequila production process, from the cultivation and harvesting of agave to the distilleries and the private tasting rooms of some of the oldest and best tequileros in the world. With a guide handling all the details, you’ll also have plenty of time to relax and do your own thing.
Our tour guides are recommended by the Lonely Planet guidebook, Imbibe Magazine and the San Francisco Bay Guardian. Our guide is an official partner of the Tequila Trail, and is the only American to earn the Tequila Regulatory Council’s prestigious “Double T” certification for excellence in tequila tourism, and it is with great pride they can claim a 100% client satisfaction rate. Let us show you the true tequila experience... you’ll be glad you did!
Your day begins with your guide picking you up at your hotel or villa, and driving you to the magical village of Tequila, Mexico. On arrival you are guided through the pueblo, learn about the history of the village, and enjoy lunch and cocktails as you soak up the rich cultural experience that is Tequila. When it comes to tequilas, there's a lot to know, so our guests are taken to some of the highest rated distilleries in Mexico. Many of these properties are not open to the public for ordinary tours, and when they are open to the public, our guests are provided a special private tasting and educational experience with tequila experts and luminaries. After a tour of a distillery and an explanation of the tequila making process, you will enjoy a formal tasting of the distillery's finest tequila with a real tequileros. After an informative and fun-filled day, your host will drive you back to Guadalajara in time for your evening's plans.

Spend a private day at sea with up to 12 of your own guests on our 38 foot chartered sailboat as we explore Banderas Bay and the wonders it holds! Your day begins with a panga (water taxi) pick-up at the Los Muertos Pier for transport to this beautiful sailboat awaiting your arrival, or board at Marina Vallarta if you prefer. Enjoy
a champagne toast as you sail south past Conchas Chinas, known as Puerto Vallarta's "Hollywood Hills on the Sea", with its multi-million dollar villas and condominium complexes, and celebrity guests including the Kardashians and Britney Spears.
Our first stop is Los Arcos Marine Reserve, Mexico's first federally protected Marine Reserve. Once you are anchored, the captain will explain some basic safety rules while snorkeling and provide life jackets and snorkeling gear for each passenger. Our staff marine biologist will join you in the water and point out exciting and colorful marine life, with the possibility of seeing Sea of Cortez Angelfish, Spotted Moray Eels, and Moorish Idols all very common at this location.
After snorkeling, your journey continues as we enjoy a gourmet lunch on deck catered by some of Vallarta's finest eateries, enjoy the open premium liquor bar, and take in the sights and sounds of the ocean around us. There's always a chance to spot endangered sea turtles sunning themselves at the surface, or a pod of playful dolphins off the bow! Between December and March the Humpback Whales enjoy the warm waters of Banderas Bay with their calves, and it is not unusual for us to see them breaching or feeding as we venture south. Our captain will then take us to Lover's Beach where guests can swim in, or take a chase boat, to the beach and enjoy the privacy of this secluded location at their leisure. We then begin our journey back to Puerto Vallarta with a cocktail in hand and enjoying light snacks, taking these exciting memories and photos home with us to remember forever!

Puerto Vallarta, located in the famed fishing hole of Banderas Bay, is one of the Top 5 deep sea fishing destinations in Mexico. Fishing is a year-long activity for locals and tourists alike, and we're home to the annual Puerto Vallarta International Sailfish & Marlin Fishing Tournament. You can expect to find ample stocks of Sailfish, Marlin, Mahi Mahi (also known as Dorado or Dolphinfish), Red Snapper, Bonito, Shark and Tuna to catch in these waters. Our captains and crew are all experienced, and are among the best in Banderas Bay, knowing where to find the fish to make the catch of your dreams. We want to make sure your fishing experience is to your satisfaction and will arrange whatever your additional needs may be we have not already included, so please inform us when booking of any special requests for food & beverages (additional fees may apply).
PLEASE NOTE: A "catch and release" policy is encouraged, and at certain times of the year the government has strict policies regarding which type of fish can be kept, and which type must be released. But if you want to taste a little something of what you caught, such as freshly caught Tuna, Snapper or Mahi Mahi (also known as Dorado or Dolphinfish), let the captain know as we can arrange for one of several local restaurants to oblige your desire to feast on your catch that same day! A fishing license is included in your charter fee, and is issued at the marina to each individual with the assistance of the charter captain and harbor master.
